Australia in Vietnam Climate and Energy Transition Strategy

Development of an Australia in Vietnam Climate and Energy Transition Strategy: 2024 - Present

This project aimed to develop an outward-facing 'Australia in Vietnam Climate and Energy Transition Strategy' that covers Australian Government engagement and support to Vietnam across climate mitigation, adaptation and finance.

Key objectives included helping to define the climate and energy strategy for the Australian government in Australia and supporting the Australian Government’s public diplomacy work in Vietnam by highlighting support for Vietnam’s climate and energy agenda.

This project involved the review of background documents and initial workshops with DFAT's Hanoi Embassy and relevant government departments to define the core elements and parameters of the strategy. The drafting of the strategy included consultation and review with DFAT Canberra and other government agencies such as DCCEEW. Before finally conducting a workshop to finalise the strategy.
